BDay Party Timeout

No update yet this week, but Audrey will get to it soon. She was too busy with her 8th Birthday Party. As you can see, the theme was Britain and plaid and she made sure all of the girls dressed the part.

Party Planning Outfits

Sarah's Out, Michael was crying, and Casanova was clueless. Those are Audrey's quick takes, here's her breakdown of each designer following the party store challenge.

Ivy:
Audrey liked the dress and patterns but felt it made the model look fat (not fitted well). The big story is Ivy went in the ambulance at the end of the show. Will she be back? Audrey thinks there's a chance that Sarah would be back in the competition if Ivy is out.

Peach:
Audrey liked what Peach did this week, much better than the last two weeks. Peach doing better, but still lacking.

April:
Thought her dress was "a lot" but she liked it. Audrey thought it was too much design on the top and too boring on the bottom.

Michael D:
Not Audrey's favorite dress, she gives it a 4 out of 10 and needs improvement.

Valerie:
Once again Audrey felt strongly that Valerie should have won with the awesome napkin dress and the cool black and white mix.

AJ:
That was close, he almost got booted. The judges were right: too short and the beads in the crotch was aweful. Totally childish (and that's coming from a 7 year old). Audrey would not take the phrase "hot mess" as a compliment.

Mondo:
Audrey thought his was a really good dress too. Pink, flirty and fun - Time for a party.

Casanova:
Much too much, how does this guy stay on the show?

Gretchen:
Audrey's quote "She's not a big b like they said, but she does have issues" As for the outfit, Audrey liked the shirt and jacket but didn't think much of the skirt.

Andy:
Liked the dress a lot, but thought it deserved 2nd to Valerie. Audrey thought Andy getting help from others was borderline cheating but she was impressed with the design.

Michael C:
Audrey LOVED this dress, not a winner but definately was impressed with the concept. Can't believe he cut up all those plates, pretty cool.

Sarah:
Shouldn't have been out (see Casanova) but she was low. Audrey thought she should have made the entire dress out of just palm tree leaves and it would have been more unique.

Christopher:
Why is it every week we have to go to the Web site because we don't remember what Christopher did? and Audrey always says "It's OK"

Kristin:
Audrey felt her dress from the party store looked like a jelly fish, but it was party like and she enjoyed all the color.

That's it, see you next week for your Project Runway preview.

New Season: Questionable Design

Welcome back to another season of Project Runway and another year of Audrey's blog. The 7-year-old that has very fashionable opinions... but who is really unimpressed with this year's Project Runway designers.

Audrey has one word to sum up this year's season so far" "WOW". She totally feels that the designers are not as good as year's past. Just a first impression so we'll see how it plays out. Audrey has also been surprised at some of the judge's decisions.. what's up with that, Micheal Kors???

OK, here a rundown of all of Audrey's takes on the designers, including those that got booted the first two weeks:

Ivy: Judges were right the first week. Pants out of pants? But Audrey liked the blouse and she made a fine, safe outfit in week 2. Prediction: She'll last awhile but probably not final 3.

Peach: To tell you the truth, Audrey did not like the first outfit with the scarf stuffed in the back and the second week she struggled, too. Audrey did like the fabric work the second week, just not the material. Prediction: She won't last past Ivy (see above)

April: So far, Audrey has liked her different ideas but the first week tux didn't work, but the second week was much better. Prediction: She has a chance if she steps it up.

Michael: He's been safe but not in the top, will he be able to step out of the box? Prediction: He'll get close but won't make the finals.

Valerie: Cleveland girl! and we always root for Ohioans (remember Althea!). So Audrey may be a bit bias, but she says she should have won week 2 and did great on week 1 with Casanova's $1000 pants! Prediction: She's going to go far!

AJ: Even though he was worried about them, Audrey like both of his looks in week 1 and week 2, but she's concerned they "look like stuff kids would wear" Prediction: We like him, but aren't sure he has the right stuff.

Mondo: He wears the craziest glasses EVER! As for his fashion, he comes up with some good designs and his funky glasses may actually keep him around. Prediction: Probably final 5 but may not make it to Lincoln Center.

Nickolas: Audrey has high hopes for Nickolas after hearing his hilarious casting video "I've got no one to hug!!!!" We will miss you NICK-oh-las (as Heidi would say) Prediction: He's out.

Casanova: The best part of Casanova is how Heidi says his name. He's first outfit was a WOWer, in a bad way! His second was ok, but we don't have high hopes. Prediction: Not going to go far.

McKell: Audrey actually really liked her first dress if it hadn't had side cleavage and she was diappointed to see her go. Prediction: She's out and that Audrey now knows what side cleavage is.

Gretchen: Two time winner, but should she have been? Audrey is not sure about week one but she definately shouldn't have won week 2. Valerie should have gotten the billboard. Prediction: She'll go far, and should make finals if she doesn't messs up too bad or end up in an ambulance.

Andy: OMG, I love him. Audrey loved the latern sleeves on the one outfit. Prediction: I think he's going to go far.

Michael: Audrey like week 2, not so sure about week 1. She needs to see more to get a better feel for his designs. Prediction: He'll last for awhile, but don't expect him in the finals.

Sarah: Overall, Audrey is not impressed. The first week, the shorts part of the outfit didn't cut it and in week 2, the outfit was ugly up top and tight on the bottom. Prediction: She'll be gone soon.

Christopher: He's been playing it safe. Not in the top, not in the bottom. We'll see how long he flies under the radar. Prediction: He'll be around for awhile.

Jason: FREAK. He should have been gone week 1. (hello, he didn't sew) Prediction: Gone but lasted longer than he should have.

Kristin: Some of her stuff looks good but isn't finished well. That is a concern. Prediction: She's going to last longer than you think.

Audrey will be back next week to have more on PROJECT RUNWAY.

Who won...

SETH AARON!
Audrey called it - Seth, Emilio and Mila.
In the end all of the designers did a pretty good job with their final collections. Here's what Audrey thought of them:

Seth - Awesome! Loved the color and designs. Her favorite looks were the black and white striped dress and the gray dress and of course the red one that led out the models.

Emilio - Audrey definately didn't like the way Emilio had been bragging at the end of the season. As for his collection, Audrey thought the last dress was the best piece, but the other stuff wasn't fashion forward.

Mila - Shadows? Really? There was no color. There were a few interesting pieces but nothing that great.

project runway blog is over until season eight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mila's In, Jay's Out

Jay's Losing Outfit

Mila's Winning Outfit

It was a tight competition this week on Project Runway. Audrey definately thought Jay would be bringing his sense of style to Bryant Park. The judges disagreed and selected Mila to go. At least they admitted it was a very difficult decision. It appeared Michael Kors was in Jay's corner to begin with but let the ladies talk him out of that pick.

Tim visited all the designers at home this week. Audrey thought Seth was going to freak out when Tim told him that he should start over. Meanwhile, Emilio was full of himself (again).

Audrey was surprised at how much better Mila looked at her home and she had a cute dog.

On Models of the Runway, when Emilio said they don't have any competition, Lorena kind of freaked out. She didn't really agree with him and looked worried.

The dinner with the former models (especially Carie) started out nicely but then turned mean when Carie said Kristina was going to win. She can tell it like it is.

On to Fashion Week and Audrey's final prediction:

1. SETH ARRON
2. EMILIO SOSA
3. MILA HERMANOVSKI

Good luck to all!!!!

It's Jay Versus Mila

To nobody's surprise, Seth and Emilio are going to Fashion Week.

The twist is for the final spot which will go to either Mila or Jay after they make their collections. (just like Chris and Rami from an earlier season)

Audrey feels Jay will advance to Fashion Week because Mila's clothes are more boring than Jay's. She believes that he more attitude. If she can borrow a phrase from Season Four - "Jay is more fierce!"

As for Emilio and Seth, it will be a tight competition. But Audrey's early prediction is that Seth will win if he creates looks like he did in the Kid Challenge because that was her favorite. If he goes "too crazy" with his looks, it might lead to an Emlio victory. If he wants to win, Emilio must use colorful fabric with only a little black and white like Christian did.

We also said a final good-bye to Anthony this week. Audrey still says he has the funniest personality and we will be hearing from him in the future.

On Models of the Runway, it was Brandise v. Brittney as they bickered throughout he show. Lorena has bonded with Brittney because they were the youngest. Kristina and Brandise are together because they are the oldest. So in other words it is "the youngest v. oldest" Audrey thinks Kristina and Lorena are the better models so it is no surprise that they are with Seth and Emilio.

Here's looking to next week when we see the collections.

What happened to Maya???

So this was a kind of crazy week in the workroom.

First, Maya quit because of the stress and Anthony came back. Then Seth's model went bye bye to DKNY (finally) and Cerri is back.

So with all the changes and a red carpet challenge.. Jonathan found himself in the bottom and went home.

Here's Audrey's take on all of the designers that were in, out, and back in again.

Mila: It looked like her other dresses just with a few different colors in different places. It was boring and she may be going home next week.

Emilio: First of all - WOW. His dress was sparkling and Audrey loved the bow at the top but on the bottom I wish there was something else.

Seth: Audrey agreed with Seth's assessment that it looked like a Vampire, but it was in a good way. She agreed it didnt' belong on the red carpet, but didn't think it was that bad.

Jay: Fat Butt. The bottom looked like Maya's water sleeves from a couple of challenges ago.

Anthony: Audrey was happy he was back. Audrey would wear that dress if he could make it her size. She wishes she would have had it for Easter today.

Jonathan: Sloppy dress had to go. He probably saw it coming. Audrey knew the judges would not cut him any slack just because he made three dresses.

Maya: What was she thinking????????? That was the worst decision on Project Runway ever!!!

Project Runway - Bye, Bye Anthony

Last week we lost Amy and this week it was Mr. Entertainment Anthony. Audrey has not agreed with some of the recent judges decisions.
It seems to her that Tim's ideas of fashion and the judges are also not on the same page. But Audrey was on Heidi's side and did like Emilio's but the wrong person went home this week.

Here's her thoughts:

Mila:
It's not nice but we do say around out house that she reminds us of a Who from Whoville. Her dress this week was not fashion forward and her textile was plain and boring. Audrey thought this was her week to leave.

Emilio:
Deserved to win with week. He's really stepped it up since the hardware disaster and there's a good chance he'll be at Bryant Park.

Seth:
Audrey's favorite and the funniest now that Anthony is gone.

Jay:
Audrey was surprised the judge's didn't ding him for not using enough of his print that he created. It was ok but not great.

Anthony:
So sad to see him go. Mila or Jonathan should have hit the road over Anthony. Audrey is glad he got the magazine cover (mom has already bought it for her)

Jonathan:
Audrey agreed with Cerri (his model) that the print he made was wonderful. She thought the jacket was ok but did not go with that look. Audrey does not think he will make it to the final three.

Maya:
Fabric looked a lot like Jay's but her's was red.

Models of the Runway:
So sad to see Cerri leave. Seth's model made the wrong decision and should have taken the DKNY shoot. That's a guaranteed job! We were kind of hoping Emilio would pick her just to see Seth and her's reaction.

Final Note:
Audrey spent the last week watching Season 4 which she had never seen. Let's just say thanks to Christian, everything in our world is now "Fierce!"

Oh No, Amy!

In the latest Project Runway, Audrey's favorite designer almost went home. You know it is bad when Amy's dress comes down the runway and Audrey says, "Yeah, I'm ok with it if Amy is out." But thanks to Ben's bad pants and suit, Audrey's favorite is still on the show despite the hairy boobs dress, but we are not sure if she's going to be final three.

Here's Audrey's take on the remaining designers:

Mila: Audrey liked the vest but agreed the rest was boring.

Emilio: Loved the greenish-gold color in the dress and the ruffles at the bottom. It was a good comeback from the disaster last week.

Ben: Deserved to go because of the underwear pants.. Audrey did like the idea of a Shark suit though if he could have pulled it off.

Amy: Hairy Boobs, what else can you say? If she would have gotten rid of the hair, the boobs would still have shown. She deserved to stay over Ben, but as for the final three prediction.. it is now, a maybe and not a sure thing.

Seth: He is now the favorite and a favorite of Audrey's ever since the kid's challenge. Audrey says he's probably her second favorite and she loved the way the outfit flowed.

Jay: His dress was a little too crazy, but he was safe so felt it was ok to try to experiment.

Anthony: The front of the dress looked too much like the blue dress that won the Marie Claire challenge where Heidi was going to wear it on photo shoot. Overall it was good though.

Jonathan: Loved his dress, she agreed with the statement that "if you looked up romance in the dictionary you would have this dress"

Maya: Audrey liked ruffles and how it flowed, but judges are right that she has seen stuff like that before.

Other Thoughts:
Audrey's current final 3: Emilio, Maya, Seth (Amy currently bumped out, for now)
Mommy's final 3: Maya, Seth, Anthony
Daddy's final 3: Seth, Emilio, Jonathan

On Models of the Runway.. why is Emilio always changing it up? He should not have given up Monique. Audrey is happy that Anthony picked her in the end. Audrey says daddy is glad that Cerri was the first model picked (can i help it if I like accents?)

We also are working on the Wii Project Runway game. Audrey thinks it is wonderful so far...

Project Runway Week 6

Audrey has been working on her sketches as you can see by the picture. The first one is for Miley Cyrus to wear on the red carpet and the second is for Beth (my wife) to wear out. Audrey says her mom likes ruffles which you can see at the bottom of the dress.
Now onto the show.

It was a tough week for Audrey even though it was her favorite challenge EVER, she saw her favorite almost go home. But Amy survived and can still make it to Bryant Park. Audrey was glad that one of her fears didn't come true, when she saw the previews Audrey said, "I hope Nina Garcia doesn't scare the children"

Here's her weekly take on the designers:

Mila: Audrey liked the pink and green blocking on the kid's clothing, but thought the "cow fabric" was a bad pick for the edging.

Emilio: Audrey thought he used too much pink on the kids, but his adult outfit was her favorite!

Ben: It was OK.. "one of the middle guys"

Amy: The pants were wacky on the model and Audrey says she cannot defend, but she disagreed on the kids outfit. Audrey would wear that and be just fine. (Audrey also picked up a new expression because she did not know what "dressed in a closet" meant) She is still Audrey's favorite and we are hoping for a big bounce back week!

Seth: Seth's kid's outfit was Audrey's favorite. She also thought the girl model was cute and has been imitating her all week by saying "I like my puurrrse" Audrey loved the watermelon pockets and hood.

Jay: Audrey liked the color the most of any part of either outfit. She thought the "mismatch" with the model's top and the kid's skirt really worked well.

Anthony: The flower pattern at the top of the kid's outfit really worked. Mommy liked Anthony's dress.

Jeneane: She may be nice but Audrey says she "had to go". Too much drama and too simple of outfits.

Jesse: The model "actually showed out" this time.. not sure what that means but Audrey was very specific on her critique. Audrey liked the kid's outfit but wasn't overly impressed with the dress. The model look was cool.

Jonathan: Audrey was ok with what he was trying to do but it did look like toilet paper. He may not last much longer even though he's one of daddy's favorites.

Maya: Even though Jesse talked of Madeline, Audrey thought Maya's looked "too Madeline" She was not enthused about it.

THOUGHTS ON MODELS OF RUNWAY: Audrey was surprised that Cerri was not good with kids because she seems nice. She was sad to see Megan go home because she had made friends that were like sisters to her.

Thanks for reading!

Project Runway Week 5

First we were off last week. Audrey was at her grandparents so we didn't get a chance to update, but she was happy that her favorite Amy won a challenge! On to Week 5:

Mila: Audrey thought her dress looked like a bandage (as did some of the judges). She's not as good as she thinks she is

Emilio: Audrey liked the design and can't believe the judges let him cut the straps off while on the runway. It was better without them though.

Ben: He's the opposite of Anthony when it comes to personality. His dress was good and his model looked happy.

Amy: Still the favorite and Audrey loved the print that she used.

Seth: Audrey did not like his suit or the color.

Jay: It looked like a wedding dress to Audrey, maybe should be on a Bridal Magazine.

Anthony: He seemed pretty excited to win. Audrey agreed with judges that this was the best dress this week. Loved the color!

Anna: She tried her best to make three pieces but it didn't come out good. The shorts didn't really match the vest which didn't really match the shirt. She was nice but had to go home.

Jeneane: She's in she cries. She's out she cries. Audrey did like the sleeves of the dress but the rest of it seemed plain and cheap.

Jesse: Audrey liked the design but not the color. It didn't stand out.

Jonathan: His outfit looked like butter (in a good way) but it was way, way, way, way too short.

Maya: Audrey didn't like the "thing around the neck"

So that's the summary this week. Audrey is excited that they are doing kids clothes next week. I think she'll have a lot to say.

Project Runway Week 3

Ping Pong has got to go... and she did. That sums up Audrey's take on the episode. She thought it was a hard challenge when they threw in the second dress. Audrey says she thinks she would be a better teammate than most of the designers on the show. Here's her take:

Mila: Even though she won, Audrey "hasn't seen anything from her"... Audrey thought the coat she designed looked like a peacock with big eyes. Surprised the judges liked it so well.

Emilo: Audrey still likes his dresses, Hollywood style from NYC.

Ben: Still "in the middle guy"

Amy: Still Audrey's favorite, but stuck working with Jesus.

Seth: He was hampered working with Anthony.

Jay: Audrey was disappointed Jay didn't help out more because he had immunity. Thought he should be a better team player.

Anthony: Two things keep Anthony around.. Ping was awful and he makes people laugh. But his talent level, or lack thereof, is being exposed.

Ping: Why do we need a closeup of her crying at the end? Audrey can't believe she didn't see it coming when she didn't know how to sew?

Anna: Still remains second favorite. Working with Emilio this week will help her in the future.

Jeneane: Still the drama queen, and her design was weak this week.

Jesus: Audrey kind of liked his dress for the first time, probably the fact that he was teamed with Amy

Jesse: Audrey was sad for him that he was stuck with Ping. Audrey liked the fact that his model backed him up on the runway.

Jonathan: Daddy's favorite, Audrey has him just out of the top 5 so far but rising.

Maya: Kept saying Jay wasn't helping because he had immunity. Her dress looked Egyptian, but Audrey liked it.

BONUS THOUGHTS ON MODELS OF THE RUNWAY: Sophia deserved to be kicked off. A model allergic to hairspray, what is up with that? Lorena was the best model like the judges said. Megan is new and has no idea what to do and she shouldn't blame the designer.

Come back next week for more!
Make it work people!

Project Runway Week 2

Let's get the obvious out of the way first. Audrey is a little concerned that they used the bad word (@ss) so much in this week's show. But I guess when you are talking about a model who's butt was hanging out.. it couldn't be avoided. So on with the contestant grades for Week 2:

Mila - wasn't Audrey's favorite, didn't mind it being revealing (or as we say the "boobs hanging out") but looked too much like string that you could unravel

Emilio - another good week

Ben - another middle guy

Amy - Audrey's favorite (I will say as a witness, she said Amy would win this episode from the beginning.. didn't win, but did make final three) Audrey is predicting fashion week for her.

Seth - Audrey liked the hoodie

Jay - even though he won, Audrey still not impressed with this stuff

Anthony - still funny, dress good this week

Ping - butt showing outfit! the top though was ok.. not hopeful that she will be around much longer

Anna - Audrey's second favorite at this point

Christiane - out last week

Jeanne - still drama but Audrey liked her dress

Jesus - should have been eliminated this week, follow the challenge buddy!

Pamela - was bad but should have stayed over Jesus

Jesse - was he even in this week's episode?

Jonathan - Audrey says he's daddy's favorite, and she is right.. keep going Elvis Costello

Maya - her outfit was kinda crazy looking, surprised she wasn't lower

Stay tuned for weekly updates!

Project Runway Review

OK, so I really haven't updated Audrey's blog since discovering FB last year, but I'm making an effort to revive with her help.

As many of you know, my little fashionistas favorite show is Project Runway. I thought it would be fun to get her take from week to week.

So we went though the Project Runway Web site and here's a 7-year-old's take on Season 7 contestants:

Mila - She's not the best, but not the worst.

Emilio - He's Audrey's favorite, even before the judges said he won.

Ben - Ben is OK, we'll see what he can do later.

Amy - Kinda like her

Seth - He's really good, Audrey agrees with Tim that he needs to lay off the zippers and he will be final three.

Jay - He's another middle of the packer.

Anthony - THE FUNNIEST! which will keep him around on the show even if he makes bad clothes. (Audrey already knows how the business works)

Ping - Pong has got to go, what did the judges see in her?

Anna - Audrey's best friend's name is Anna so she has to love her.

Christiane - She was one of Audrey's favorites when they showed some of the work that got them on the show, why was she stupid during the first challenge?

Jeanane - DRAMAQUEEN! Audrey liked her work but since she re-did her dress it may get better (BTW, I refered to her as Jan Brady and Audrey did not understand the reference)

Jesus - Audrey not a fan of the "snake" dress

Pam - Audrey really liked her and is looking forward to seeing more.

Jesse - Not bad

Jonathan - Great work, Audrey likes him (another daddy reference when I called him Elvis Costello, Audrey only knows one Elvis and she was confused)

Maya - Another middle of the roader

Let's see how she does, watch out Nina Garcia.
